Why On Earth?

My IT career starting during the dark ages, back in 1984. I'm currently unemployed and searching for new work.

The early years were PC and mid-range graphics programming, and I eventually migrated into system level / back-end programming, primarily on Sun / Solaris / UNIX based platforms.

During the down time I've been concentrating on some of the newer technologies on the front-end.
GED2MAP Program Info

Spending some time on ASP.NET led me to write GED2MAP Program. For all practical purposes it's a proof of concept for uploading a file from your computer, parsing the file and saving into a database. Then, Geocoding the locations and displaying markers in Google Maps.

Lately I've been wrapping my head around WordPress, and wanting to write something new in PHP. If you've got any ideas send me an email.
